Adware
July 11, 2008 by Todd Miller
Adware refers to any piece of software, used by an affiliate or partner, which displays advertisements to users, and does so in a manner that is compliant. Adware can be a simple game that displays ads between game ‘levels’, or it could be a screensaver that rotates ads in with other images, etc. Frankly, there are few examples of compliant adware, because, outside of serving advertising in return for a game, screensaver, etc., there not many instances where users will opt-in to experience additional advertising. Loyaltyware offers a much more compelling value-proposition to both users and advertisers than Adware.
